What is the difference between a Sports Therapy treatment and a Sports Massage?
A Sports Therapy session is specifically aimed at treating musculoskeletal injuries and conditions sustained as a result of sport occupation or otherwise. This will include a detailed initial assessment to get to the root cause of your problem, as well as an appropriate treatment modality to treat the condition.
Sports Massage is aimed more towards preventing injuries, relieving tension and tightness within tissues and improving the bodies function. A short consultation will also be carried out prior to the massage to ensure it is appropriate for your needs.
How Many treatments will I need?
This is completely dependant on your individual needs. You will be fully informed within the initial assessment how long we feel it will take for you to recover. Ensuring you perform your home exercise programme as prescribed will minimise the number of sessions you require.
